This is the second pair of this style I've purchased--I also have the reddish color. I order and return about 50 pairs of shoes for every one that I keep; I just have very difficult feet, what can I say? I read reviews of various shoes in which the writers swear they stand/walk for 12 hours on concrete floors and no problem.... I can't stand for that long in ANY shoes, I'm sorry. I had been wearing Dansko "loafers," which are comfortable in the morning when I put them on, but by the end of my shift as a part-time elementary school teacher, I'm limping out of the school. In these Spring Step shoes I'm still walking comfortably after a few hours, no limping, and that's about as good as it gets.Stylistically these shoes resemble the Naot Matai. The Naots cost more than twice as much, and I didn't find them comfortable. The leather on the Spring Step Cosmic is gorgeous and they appear to be well made. I'm very happy with them.My feet are short and wide. I normally take a size 6 and depending on the style, I'll look for a wide or even double-wide width; sometimes a 6W is too big on me, but it's rare to find a 5.5 W. In Danskos I take a 36.
